Job responsibilities

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Low Voltage Technician to install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain a variety of security and low-voltage systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in both residential and commercial environments across the GTA.

Responsibilities

• Install, wire, and configure low-voltage systems, including CCTV and IP security cameras, alarm systems, access control systems, intercoms and door-entry systems, smart-home automation devices, and networking equipment such as routers, switches, and cabling.
• Troubleshoot system issues and perform service calls.
• Run, terminate, and label low-voltage cabling, including Cat5/6, coax, and alarm wire.
• Test system functionality and ensure proper operation.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations and service visits.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with clients.
• Follow safety procedures, codes, and company standards.

Educational requirements

High school diploma required; technical training or certificates are an asset.

Experience requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in low-voltage installation; security-systems experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of low-voltage wiring, cabling, and tools.
• Experience with CCTV, alarm systems, and access-control systems is preferred.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation.

Additional requirements

• Valid G driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift equipment, work on ladders, and access tight spaces.
• Must pass a background check, as standard for security-system work.
